What makes a good down duvet?
The key factor is the filling: genuine down – the fine, cloud-like tufts beneath the outer plumage of geese and ducks – traps air particularly efficiently, providing warmth whilst remaining lightweight. The cover should be finely and densely woven so that the filling stays securely in place without compromising breathability.
Goose down or duck down: the difference
Goose down clusters are generally larger and fluffier than duck down, which means slightly higher warmth for the same weight. Duck down offers comparable warmth at a more affordable price. Down Pass certification: what it signifies
Down Pass certification confirms that the down and feathers used have been sourced in accordance with recognised animal welfare standards – with full traceability back to the farm of origin. All our down duvets carry this certification.

With its medium warmth, Duke is suitable for most bedrooms and seasons outside the depths of winter. Crown is designed as a winter duvet and offers noticeably more volume and warmth. Prince Duo combines two individually filled quilts via press studs, allowing you to adjust the warmth depending on the season.
Caring for down duvets
Down duvets retain their loft best when washed gently in a large-capacity washing machine or dry-cleaned professionally. Thorough drying is essential to prevent the down from clumping.
