What is TENCEL™ Lyocell?
TENCEL™ is the brand name for Lyocell fibres, which are derived from sustainably managed wood. In a closed-loop process, almost all the solvents used are recovered and reused – a process that is significantly more resource-efficient than conventional viscose production.
Moisture-regulating and breathable
Lyocell fibres absorb moisture particularly quickly and wick it away just as rapidly. This makes Tencel bed linen a good choice for anyone who tends to sweat at night or prefers a dry, cool sleeping environment.
Twill or sateen: choosing the right weave
Our Coco & Cici Tencel bed linen is available in two weaves: twill, with a soft, matt surface and a fine diagonal structure, and sateen, with a smoother, slightly lustrous finish. Both are woven from the same TENCEL™ Lyocell fibre and differ primarily in their feel and appearance.
Sustainability in detail
TENCEL™’s closed-loop production cycle is considered particularly environmentally friendly, as chemicals and water largely remain within the system.
